The Qore programming language is a powerful, thread-capable, embeddable, weakly-typed language with optional strong typing and procedural and object-oriented features designed for anything from quick scripting to complex multithreaded, network-aware application development to embedded application scripting. Qore was initially designed to facilitate the rapid implementation of sophisticated interfaces in embedded code in an enterprise environment, and has since grown into a general-purpose language as well.
Qore is free to use, even for commercial products, because of its licensing policy.
Qore runs on Linux/Unix, Mac OS X, and now as of v0.8.3, natively on MS Windows.

From now on all Qore development will be made on github.com and no longer from svn hosted on sourceforge.org.
This is because we wanted to switch to git for development, also due to reliability problems with sourceforge's svn service and also concerns about their recent adware injection into open-source projects, an action that all Qore developers unanimously feel to be unethical and has motivated us to distance ourselves from sourceforge.
Currently binaries are still hosted on sourceforge, but development is solely done on github.com with git.
