The mysql module is now available from MacPorts as well, coinciding with the v1.0.2 release of the module. To install MacPorts on your Mac, look here.
The port's name is qore-mysql-module; here is a link to the Portfile.
This version of the module supports compiling with MySQL 5.1 (and includes minor configure changes for proper building with MacPorts as well).
